We can fly higher with your support!
Seattle Audubon is able to advocate and organize for cities where people and birds thrive beause of our community's generosity. Saving birds requires both the dedication and knowledge of our volunteers who give thier time, as well as the passion and commitment of donors who contribute financial resources.
A big thank you to our July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020 donors who are helping us soar! Our 2019-20 Donor Honor Roll lists all of these generous donors.
There are many ways you can protect our local feathered friends by making a gift. Choose the way(s) that feels right for you!
You and your entire household can become a Seattle Audubon member for a gift of $49 or more annually. Receive exclusive members-only benefits including discounts on classes and trips, 20% off seed and books at The Nature Shop and our quarterly newsletter, Earthcare Northwest.
A Gift Membership is perfect for someone who loves birds! You can purchase a new membership, or renew an existing membership by contacting Anna Dukes (annad@seattleaudubon.org) to see when their membership expires.
Ensure the long-term protection of the native birds, wildlife and wild places you care about by making monthly gifts through automatic bank or credit card withdrawals. It's easy, convenient, and one of the best ways to provide continued support for our programs.
Membership dues account for only a portion of the funds needed to operate Seattle Audubon. We invite you to support are goals of resilience, equity and justice, and urban conservation outlined in our 2020-2023 Strategic Plan: Cities at the Center by making an annual gift above and beyond your membership dues.
- Special Events: Flocking Together
Seattle Audubon Society regularly hosts engaging events around the Seattle area to fund our mission and programs which support it. Mark your calendars for two of our largest event fundraisers: Bird-a-thon, held throughout the month of May, and GiveBIG, also in May.
Gifts of $500 or more are eligible for a custom engraved feather on display at the Seattle Audubon Nature Shop in Wedgwood as part of this beautiful art installation created by local artist Stuart Nakamura to commemorate our Centennial Year.
Seattle Audubon gratefully welcomes gifts of stock and other publicly traded or marketable securities such as mutual fund shares and options. Please contact Development Director, Carol Roll, at (206) 523-8243 ext. 116 or via email for more information.
Leave your legacy of environmental stewardship through a planned gift or bequest to Seattle Audubon. Ensure that our native birds, other wildlife and their habitats are protected for future generations.
If you are over the age of 70 ½ you may be eligible to make a qualified charitable distribution (an IRA withdrawal) that is paid directly from your IRA to Seattle Audubon. In this circumstance you do not need to pay taxes on the gift to Seattle Audubon and it also helps to satisfy the annual minimum distribution requirement. Contact your investment portfolio manager to learn more.
Business owner? Align your community involvement efforts with one of the Seattle area's oldest and most effective conservation organizations. Demonstrate your company's commitment to the environmental health of the community in which we live, work and play.
Seattle Audubon happily accepts items purchased from our Amazon Wish Lists year round! Unfortunately, we are not usually able to accept gifts of art or large collections of books. Please contact Carol Roll, Development Director at carolr@seattleaudubon.org for questions.
